Hi everyone. New guy here on the forum.I just installed Lubuntu (XFCE) on an MacBook Pro 2010 13" laptop, which all went fine and dandy. I now want to try out a different Linux Ubuntu flavor but I can't seem to access choosing disks when holding down option at startup. No disks at all show up. The disks do however show up clearly within the Lubuntu installation itself, including the USB boot drive I have created.I have tried changing the mounting options by to just include the USB drive but to no success.Any ideas what might be the cause of this, and how to solve it?Many thanks in advance. Hi everyone,I've been using ubuntu for a while but am still more or less a total begier.I recently ugraded to 16.04.Before the upgrade my Ugee M1000L graphics tablet worked fine just by plugging it in.After the upgrade something strange happened. Hi Guys, I am trying to make a bootable usb stick with lubuntu.After download the iso file, I used the usb-creator-gtk to create the bootable stick in a Ubuntu Mate (16.04). Everything is fine with the end message "Installation is complete. Just bought a new HP Pro laptop with Microsoft Window preloaded and Wifi works well after the computer is booted from Microsoft Window. I want to lea Linux, but I do not want to erase Microsoft Window from my computer. As I have very little knowledge in computer, I want to be safe to run Ubuntu only from a USB stick without having to install it on my Laptop hard disk. After I downloaded Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a USB stick, I am able to boot the computer from Ubuntu on the USB stick. My goal is to route traffic of an android device through it.It is set up to have an inteet coection through NAT on eth0, which is working as intended.Another device eth1 is set up for incoming coections.
