Hi!First off, let me say that I've searched in the forums (and the inteet) for this issue and had no luck solving it. Also, I have tried some other distros besides the one I have on the machine right now (Xubuntu 16.04) and it's all the same.The issue itself is that after I install the distro, or run the "try without installing" option, wifi stops working. I am setting up a system using xubuntu 16.04.01 LTS.It has a Startech HSB100SATBK 5.25" Trayless mobile rack for 3.5" HDD.It works fine when someone is logged in. The auto mount feature shows an icon on the users desktop for the drive.I can remove the drive, and the icon disappears. When I plug in another drive, it comes back, and the drive automatically mounts.What I am trying to do, is have the drive mount automatically, to a specific location, without any user logged on.That way, the drive can be swapped out without any need for a user to log onto the system, and the backup will run as a crontab.Has anyone been able to do this?Cheers!Naught McNoone Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I don't know if this is a Flashback issue or not, but I have this issue on all my Yakkety boxes, which have Flashback installed.When doing an update and clicking show details, UM will give you one line of download information and then 10-15 lines of terminal progress, unless you clicked show details after it downloaded all the files and were already installing them, you only get one line of terminal output. Installed Ubuntu last night and have spent the last 10 hours today trying to get my old adapter working, alas I have given up. Does anybody know of a adapter that will just install and work without having to fiddle with anything? I have been using Ubuntu phone, BQ Aquarius E45, for the past year. Until now the web browser has always worked. But today it stopped working. I went to use it, and wanted to access my History, as all tabs had disappeared that had previously been open.Then the web browser froze, and I had to close it. I tried to reopen, but as soon as I do, it crashes, closes right away. I tried rebooting the phone, but that did not help. Nothing else was ruing at the time it froze. Hi,I have recently bought a HP EliteOne 800 G2 AiO with Intel Core i7-6700 3.4G 8M 2133 4C CPU, 32 GB DDR4-2133 SODIMM (2x16 GB) RAM, 256 GB SATA 2.5 3D SSD.When first booting it in Windows the graphics seems to work as it should. Then I have tested installed Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04 and Kubuntu 16.04. For all of the installations the graphics is not working correctly. The screen seems to be split in half in hight so that the whole screen is squeezed in in the upper half of the screen. Now when I upgraded all the packages on Ubuntu 16.04 (to Ubuntu 16.04.1) the screen is suddenly completely blank when the system is booted up. I have a Lenovo 3000 n100, which has a hardware switch for wifi/bluetooth. The switch is on, but wifi is suddenly not working. Rebooting doesn't help, nor does tuing the switch on/off, or disabling and re-enabling network or wifi. The wifi light is not lit (bluetooth is). In Lubuntu, the error is Wifi device not ready.I'm not sure what to check next. Today i've upgraded Xubuntu in my laptop from 15.04 to 16.04 using USB. I choose the delete and reinstall option because the upgrade options was grayed out. Also, same like before, it's dual-booted with win 7.Several week before, at 15.04 xubuntu detects my wireless card as Intel Centrino Wireless. Even though it's detected, it's faulty. It discovers nearby wifi networks with low signal and can't coect to it. One of my reason to upgrade is to (hopefully) fix this problem. Now it's even worse, the card doesn't showed itself when i use lspci, lshw, or lsusb.Also, I downloaded the suitable driver for that card and place it at /lib/firmware, severe weeks before the upgrade.
