Today, I have had difficulty logging in to the forums. Initially I would go through normal steps of entering my email address associated and password but, was asked a few times to enter a new password. I did not. I was able and still am able to use the same credentials to log into Launchpad. They are the same.In subsequent attempts at log in, I have started getting this message instead of the above message: Code: vBulletin Message Invalid Redirect URL (https://ubuntuforums.org?) I looked on the bottom of the page of that message and on the right it has:Ubuntu Forums If I clicked on it the log in process starts again and (I would be after re-entering my login credentials) back to message a...

Hi Guys,I have a strange problem to which I could not find a solution. After re-install of Windows 7 thanks to a Windows 10 upgrade that essentially made my PC a random blue screen creator, I now need to fix grub to re-enter my ubuntu partition. I am using ubuntu 14.04.I tried to follow this thread http://askubuntu.com/questions/88384...alling-windows but for some strange reason I caot mount the partition that holds the important folders (sda4). Instead I can only mount sda5, a subpart of sda4 containing only a folder named after my useame. If that made little sense, I attached a screenshot of what GParted showed me to make it clearer.Screenshot from 2016-07-10 00:02:49.pngScreenshot from 201...

I have just plugged in my USB to transfer a couple of files to it for printing at an inteet cafe. It mounts correctly, I have deleted the files that were on there no problems and I can create new folders and files without issues. However whenever I try and copy a file onto it I get an error message saying the device is Read Only when this clearly isn't the case.I use Ubuntu Studio but I guess as I have a non-standard installation with Thunar 1.6.3 from Trusty installed in place on 1.6.10 as features which are missing from the latest version are critical to the way I work I guess I will get little help on here. I'm in the process of installing gparted to see if it works after a reformat. Stil...
