Hi all,I leat PHP 5.6 using Windows 10 & WAMPServer (64 bit) and recently moved to Ubuntu Linux. I am trying to setup my Linux machine to continue leaing PHP. My setup is:Ubuntu Linux 16.04.1 (64 bit)Firefox: 48.0Apache: Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu)MySQL: 5.7.13PHP: 7.0.8I have some questions and I have them below in BLUE.Issue 1: apache2 & mysql start automatically when I tu on my laptop; I prefer to start apache2 & mysql service when I need them. How do I ensure these services don't start automatically on startup?Issue 2:My work folder is: /eBooks/PHP/Chapxx and my PHP server folder is: /var/www/html/php/chapxx/For the PHP server folder /var/www/html, owner is www-data and group is www-data; all sub-folders & files under html have owner as www-data and group as www-data. I am trying to figure out how to get a real certificate working for my owncloud server as it seems I cannot use the mobile apps with the self-signed certificates. This is not my first try getting a real certificate working for my domain, but there is something I cant seem to understand.Below I have tried to explain exactly what I did in my last try I hopes that someone will read it and see what I am doing wrong. In my attempt to make a my Mac Mini 1,1 dual boot OSX 10.5 and Ubuntu 14.04, I have set things up incorrectly pertaining to sharing drive space between these OS's. And I don't know how to fix it.My goal is to have the single hard drive divided into partitions for each OS, and another one for files that can be accessed from either OS.I encountered the user ID mismatch problem and tried to fix it by assigning the Ubuntu user ID to 501, to match that of the OSX 10.5 user ID. I did so by trying to follow the instructions I found on this web page: http://lifehacker.com/5702815/the-co...rating-systemsThat procedure had me create a “tempuser” account in Ubuntu. Then us some chown commands on the home directory of Ubuntu. I guess that worked. But of course, I also wanted to do the chown command on my shared files partition. I just recently decided to give steam gaming on Ubuntu a try, so far the following games work perfect:-Payday2-Day of Infamy (uses Source engine)-Project Zomboid-Chivalry Medieval Warfare/Deadliest WarriorFor whatever reason CS:GO just doesn't...launch. My friend status changes for a split second to indicate I'm playing the game and then ... nothing. I keep an eye on Task Manager and don't ever see the process for CSGO come or go and at this point I've tried everything I know to do.I'm using an Nvidia GTX 760 with the 352.63 Drivers. I'm going to DL and try TF2 later on but I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for debugging this or double-checking/updating some package(s) I'm not fully aware of.Thanks! OK i will try to give as much info as i can so this be alittle long so try and stick with me. OK i have a asus g60vx as stated and have a Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P7350 along with the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M with 1GB GDDR3 VRAM. Heres where im at and stuck at, i have reformatted the hard drive and re installed 16.04 two times and get the same stuff showing up, along with not being able to run the driver for the nvidia even though i have downloaded it still dosnt work, i am not able to download anything from ubuntu software center, i am not able to download anything running the command lines, and i can not install any updates. Recently, I caught a virus on an old HTPC running windows 7. So, I decided to expand my horizons and try Ubuntu 16.04 LTS as I've started to lea some coding recently and thought it could be interesting. So far, it works great for Youtube and most other videos. However, you try to watch Hulu/HBOGo, and it's a no go. It just sits there at a black screen. I recently started building a retro gaming console, which is nothing more than an old PC with Ubuntu running Retropie.I actually put this together to test Retropie out before springing for a Raspberry Pi 3, but then I realized that it performed so much better than the Pi 3 that I would be better off not bothering with the Pi at all.It's an HP 5800 small form factor desktop.These machines came with an on-board GPU which is no longer supported, but it works great for everything except N64 games.I borrowed a graphics card from another machine to see if that would help, and it worked perfectly.Unfortunately, I can't keep this graphics card in the machine for two reasons; it doesn't belong to me, and it doesn't have the right outputs.I'm hoping that I can get some suggestions for graphics cards that will give me similar performance, but with these features:HDMI out, including audio.This is im,help me choose a graphics card,dell help me choose graphics card ...ادامه مطلب
