CS:GO will not launch (ubuntu 14.04)

I just recently decided to give steam gaming on Ubuntu a try, so far the following games work perfect:

-Payday2
-Day of Infamy (uses Source engine)
-Project Zomboid
-Chivalry Medieval Warfare/Deadliest Warrior

For whatever reason CS:GO just doesn't...launch. My friend status changes for a split second to indicate I'm playing the game and then ... nothing. I keep an eye on Task Manager and don't ever see the process for CSGO come or go and at this point I've tried everything I know to do.

I'm using an Nvidia GTX 760 with the 352.63 Drivers. I'm going to DL and try TF2 later on but I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for debugging this or double-checking/updating some package(s) I'm not fully aware of.
