I am trying to figure out how to get a real certificate working for my owncloud server as it seems I caot use the mobile apps with the self-signed certificates. In my attempt to make a my Mac Mini 1,1 dual boot OSX 10.5 and Ubuntu 14.04, I have set things up incorrectly pertaining to sharing drive space between these OS's. And I don't know how to fix it.My goal is to have the single hard drive divided into partitions for each OS, and another one for files that can be accessed from either OS.I encountered the user ID mismatch problem and tried to fix it by assigning the Ubuntu user ID to 501, to match that of the OSX 10.5 user ID. I've decided to start a new thread on this, rather than keep adding to me 14.04 to 15.10 thread.I have upgraded to 16.04.1I am finding a few issues. So far: Wireless coection is unstable. I'm using wired for now. Monitor switches off after being left idle, and the only way to wake it is reboot. I've now tued off the sleep mode, but that's not ideal either. Hello Members!I preferred installing Ubuntu(latest version) alongside Windows 8. Installation went through successfully but the System-Restart(as per the last prompt) has left me with the Windows Installation only, & Ubuntu is visible nowhere!I remember seeing message during this Reboot which said--"Press any Key to skip Disk checking"....& then it went on to repair my Recovery Drive to 100%!No trace of Ubuntu's installation or the Boot-menu (offering the choice b/w Windows & Ubuntu) are visible!?However, Yes, Ubuntu's installation has indeed usurped my Free-Disk space to the tune of 250 GB, & as a consequence---Windows partition can be seen as reduced significantly!Kindly he...

OK i will try to give as much info as i can so this be alittle long so try and stick with me. OK i have a asus g60vx as stated and have a Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P7350 along with the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M with 1GB GDDR3 VRAM. Heres where im at and stuck at, i have reformatted the hard drive and re installed 16.04 two times and get the same stuff showing up, along with not being able to run the driver for the nvidia even though i have downloaded it still dosnt work, i am not able to download anything from ubuntu software center, i am not able to download anything ruing the command lines, and i can not install any updates. I've looked around a little on this subject and it seems there are many options. I guess I am looking for some help in narrowing down a path to take so I can remote into my Ubuntu box from my Windows box.One person told me to get PuTTY and that was all they said. I am plaing to move back to Ubuntu (16.04) from OSX Mavericks on a Hackintosh (a HP 4540s). I have one disk ruing OSX and a separate disk for Ubuntu. My Users directory resides on a third disk, a usb disk, and has been configured to hfsplus non-joualled, and a test installation of Ubuntu loads the usb disk at startup though not as the /home directory. For the sake of those who may not know, Users in OSX is the equivalent of /home in Ubuntu.I'm now ready to try a live installation of Ubuntu, and I'd appreciate any advice i can get. I want to mount the Users directory (it is a partition on the usb disk) as /home. I don't know how easy it would be to make the usb disk dedicated to Users. (Haven...
