Greetings!I managed to install ubuntu (16.04) on my working PC, after couple hours of surfing the web my inteet connection lost. So i decided to do this Code: sudo dhclient -r sudo dhclient After these commands Gods of the inteet blessed me again(Got google working again), and i tried to connect to previous webpages > but failed, tried to open different ubuntu communities > failed,( only main (this one) worked well) almost 80% of the web pages won't open to me from THAT moment, and also can't install ANY program VIA terminal Code: 0% [Connecting to ua.archive.ubuntu.com (82.144.192.7)] after doing Code: dhclient -r i'm getting messages "RTNETLINK FILE EXISTS" (maybe this is the evil roots i looking for? how to fix this ?)Tried to configure INET connection as static > same.Tried to reboot pc networking > same.Tried to deny all IPV6 > same.Tried to use usb-wifi stick > same.PC located at the office, i've a privileged IP (no limits, or social network bloc, ...ادامه مطلب

I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. Once at the logon screen I have 2× highres screens running at 2560x1440 without a problem.What works:With a vga cable I see the boot screen and tty's.With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWith HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWhat doesn't work:With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sWith HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sBoth situations display the "input timing" message.Is there a solution for this situation? I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I have already tried reinstalling ubuntu many times but I always get this error when I first boot into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Hi everyone,I recently followed an online video guide here to get a local share with my windows guest up and running. I succeeded after some tinkering with permissions, but then all of a sudden it just stopped working. Now my windows 8 guest cannot even see my host through the inbuilt Network folder. As the title says my etheet keeps disconnecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN connection when I use that I have no connections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The connection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hello.My friend has Ubuntu, the previous LTS, installed on her Asus EEE PC 1000H laptop. She is considering to upgrade to Xenial Xerus. Are there any guarantees if the upgrade succeeds, and whether it works well enough?The current LTS Ubuntu works on the laptop, it is really slow but works.The laptop has 2 GB RAM, 120 GB Kingston SSD, GPU is probably Intel GMA.Has anybody else experiences on running Xenial Xerus on EEE PC 1000H?What are the possible problems one should expect when upgrading and after the upgrade (if it succeeds)? Hi,I've got a problem with ftp and I can't guess where it is.I've got Ubuntu 14.04 Server in my server. So I consider myself if not an uber computer geek at least a "power user", and tried to keep my dual boot setup of Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 for as long as I could. I need Windows currently because of some Windows-only software I need for my classes (hopefully won't need these ever again after I graduate). I was really fed up with Windows 10 (don't like all the telemetry crap, don't use the Windows app store, Cortana, forced updates, confusing settings options, interface in general). My last straw was the other night I had some school documents open and unsaved, and Windows decided to just restart on its own to apply some updates.So I backed everything up, completely wiped Windows 10, did an Ubuntu 16.04 install with the option "erase disk and install Ubuntu", and now I am setting up a Virtualbox Windows 7 VM for those pesky Windows needs.
