So, let me preface this by stating that I have looked around various forums, including this one, and have not found a viable solution to my issue.The issue is this: I have Ubuntu 16.04 installed on my laptop and where I work has a Xerox Workcentre 7855 with accounting enabled. I succeeded after some tinkering with permissions, but then all of a sudden it just stopped working. Now my windows 8 guest caot even see my host through the inbuilt Network folder. Hi!First off, let me say that I've searched in the forums (and the inteet) for this issue and had no luck solving it. Also, I have tried some other distros besides the one I have on the machine right now (Xubuntu 16.04) and it's all the same.The issue itself is that after I install the distro, or run the "try without installing" option, wifi stops working. I have a host ruing ubuntu 16.04. and lxc guest (archlinux). Both a ruing nvidia 367.35.When Upgrading to nvidia 370.23 (host and guest) I lost graphics in the container. I did not get any error messages.Was anyone successful using nvidia 370.23 and containers. Do I need to upgrade cuda 7.5 to 8.0. Are there any workarounds. Hallo Everyone,I am trying to install a Canon Pixma MG5750 for a friend and have discovered a strange thing ...We both have identical installations of Lubuntu (I installed for him) but my installation contains the driver for this printer but his does not.My suspicion is that, at some time, I have installed a bundle of "extra printers".Does such a thing exist? So I consider myself if not an uber computer geek at least a "power user", and tried to keep my dual boot setup of Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 for as long as I could. I need Windows currently because of some Windows-only software I need for my classes (hopefully won't need these ever again after I graduate). Another forum member posted a thread about TPM passthrough and its been something I've been meaning to do for a while. Qemu 2.5 has a bug that prevents a Windows guest from loading the TPM driver, this is patched from qemu 2.6 onwards so I've got qemu 2.6.1 in my build chain and am ruing the guest on the cmd line. Windows now reports my TPM in Device Manager under Security Devices but the Bitlocker app says no compatible TPM can be found :-/ The TPM is most definitely bitlocker compatible as if I boot Win10 on the same bare metal then everything works so this is a virt issue somewhere, and I'd hazard a guess to say its Windows guest specific as I believe passing the same device through to a ...

I've installed Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 (also tried Xubuntu 16.04/14.04) on my brand new laptop i5 6200u/8gb/gt940m/240gb. I have problem with ubuntu performance, which doesn't occur on windows, where everything i've tried works just fine. On ubuntu I feel lagging when just typing - e. g. in codeblocks or in chromium.In gtkperf i receive very different results - once it's like 2,5s and next time 20-30s (!).I tried reinstalling ubuntu couple of times, with swap and without it. Also on empty ssd - with no effect at all. Hello.Am a Linux novice. Performed an on-line update from 14.04 to 16.04 on my laptop which is an Asus Ultrabook. It has an 1T SSD and is dual-boot with Windows 8.1 via grub. Have done the same upgrade on my Intel i7 desktop without issue. It however DOES NOT have an SSD.During boot, there are errors reported that I caot decipher and, I believe, has to do with Ubuntu recognizing my SSD (sd9?). It is a Corsair SSD. During boot it performs some sort of disk diag that runs for 1m 50s? Downloaded from epson site and installed the package: epson-inkjet-printer-201207w_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_i386.deb.
