  • Ubuntu 16.04 boots into emergency mode when fstab entry not really present

  • I have a USB drive at work that's specified in fstab (although the pathname says RAID it's not an array, just a single USB drive of 2 Tb). In 14.04, when I booted the computer without the drive connected, I would get an option during boot to skip that and then it would boot just fine. In 16.04 however, it boots into emergency mode instead. I can get around this by booting in startup mode but it's really annoying. How can I get around this? My fstab entry for the drive looks like this: Code: #USB drive UUID=1ade5a24-10bf-4010-aa99-75fb16d4ce32 /home/user_id/RAID ext4 rw,user 0 0 Let's block ads! بخوانید,ubuntu 16 04 boots to black screen, ubuntu 16 04 boots to blank screen, ubuntu 16 04 boots to tty1,ubuntu 16 04 boots to grub, ubuntu 16 04 boots slow, ubuntu 16 04 boots into emergency mode, ubuntu 16 04 boots to tty, ubuntu 16 04 boots to initramfs, ubuntu 16 04 boot splash, ubuntu 16 04 boots to terminal ...ادامه مطلب

  • Why does ClamTK not always scans the same amount of files?

  • The range is about 4,000 to 14,000 files in HOME folder virus scanned. What I mean 9,000 then 12,000 then 6,000 then 4,000 then 14,000 then 14,000 then 5,000 and so onThat is highly unlogical, is nondeterministic, I don't see the point why it should be a nondeterministic scan algorithm Let's block ads! بخوانید, , ...ادامه مطلب

  • [ubuntu] 16.04: Opens Wrong Application (NOT Nautilus) after Mount

  • Hi Guys,I just (clean-) installed 16.04 on my desktop (as well as notebook) and encounter a weird behavior.Whenever I mount anything (e.g., an exteal memory stick or a truecrypt-drive), ubuntu does not open nautilus and display the content, as one would expect, but it opens "SmartSVN", which happens to be my SVN-GUI (http://www.smartsvn.com/). It does this on both my clean 16.04 installations. SmartSVN, can, of course, do nothing with the mounted file and just displays an error. I then have to close it, open the file explorer/nautilus and click there on my mounted drive, which I can then access without problems.I tried to google, but can't find how to fix this... As a workaround, i used the dconf-editor to disable the "automount-open" feature, which prevents SmartSVN being launched upon a mount event. I then just have to manually open the mounted folder via nautilus.Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Cheers and Thanks! Let's block ads! بخوانید, ...ادامه مطلب
