Recently, I caught a virus on an old HTPC ruing windows 7. So, I decided to expand my horizons and try Ubuntu 16.04 LTS as I've started to lea some coding recently and thought it could be interesting. So far, it works great for Youtube and most other videos. I tried to switch to Ubuntu a few months ago and downloaded it from somewhere, I did not realize at that time that Ubuntu had a dedicated website. I've been ruing my Ubuntu server for quite some time and have never experienced any problems regarding the file size of my downloads on my samba shares. My system is at this moment v. 16.04 and there are no upgrades to be done. I experienced this problem for the first time just the other day I might add and I haven't made any changes to my system that should cause this (to my knowledge).I can access my shares without any problems at all and transfer files to and from without any problems at all, but now I get an error message when I try to download files larger than 10 MB in Chromium saying"Failed - download error". I've been using ClamAV (with added anti-hackingteam and LinuxMalwareDetect databases) to scan downloaded files for Linux malware and Windows malware... or so I thought, until I read this post by DuckHook. Hey everyone, Linux n00b here, hoping to attempt my first dual boot Ubuntu setup alongside Windows, been reading up on the partitioning scheme for 3 days solid now and just wanted to get some second opinions on what i've come up with before taking the plunge!I had originally plaed to install alongside Windows 8.1 but then Windows put the time limit on upgrading to Windows 10, so I upgraded yesterday and quite like it so I think i'd like to keep it. I have a Mac Pro Quad Core 2.0 Original from 2006. It has EFI 32-bit and requires 32-bit booting. The system contains 64-bit Intel Xeon 5130 CPUs. When I use Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial Xerus), desktop+amd64 to create a DVD image, then boot the Mac, the system hangs at asking me to select 1 or 2 for DVD type or something of that nature. I caot select 1 or 2. I read some tricks online which say to hold the 1 key down once the DVD starts booting, then press retu when the screen tus black, then hit retu again.
