Has anybody else noticed that on occasions unity, bash, and ssh freeze when you issue some kind of bash command (e.g. ls) on a folder that is mounted with Samba CIFS. It appears that there is some kind of File System issue. Rebooting seems to fix the problem, but many times the only way to get it to reboot is to hard reset the box since when it freezes there's no way of issuing a reboot command. Not only does the server freeze where the initial command (ls -Fals /share) was executed, but if I try to ssh into the server from another machine, it will freeze as well as soon as it logs in. I have x3100 M5 v3 server with 1 TB HDDs (2 Nos). I configured RAID 1 in BIOS and fast initialization. showing 1 TB array READONLY (/dev/md126_raid1) and started installation. It showing RAIDraid1 readonly at the time of partitions creation. getting Error Operation not permitted to write on disk.I tried in different ways. After using 14.04 for a long time, I did a fresh install of 16.04. I realized my SSD was not ruing the TRIM function but is set now to do so in 16.04. I had no issues with install. After changing the desktop background I noticed that sometimes after logging in, I would not get to the desktop. I would power down and then it would work. It was begiing to look like 'every other time' that it would not work. I also used ctrl-alt-f1 and typed REBOOT at terminal command and that seemed to work too. i went back to default background and it booted up fine this moing. Hi,i have a big problem with my installation using LXD.whenever i set up a new container the system wants to get an ip adress via dhcp. it submits the request on the bridged interface, response arrives to the bridge and then... error.reason:albeit being on port 2 of the linux bridge, the brctl showmacs tells me, the mac adress of the container is on port 1. this makes lil sense, because the mac used for the dhcp request is the "faked" one (set in config). So the response will never arrive at the container, because the bridge filters it.I already found 2 solutions on the net, one with a NAT (no option), one with buggy intel drivers - both dont apply for me.
