I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. I'm often ruing a simultaneous VNC window alongside a regular native X session. From time to time, and with no rhyme or reason that I can detect, my X window session hangs, producing a black screen. The keyboard isn't frozen (I can see the caps-lock go on), but hitting Alt-F4 or Cntl-Alt-F4 doesn't bring me to a terminal.I'm talking about weeks or months...it's not common!The odd thing is that my VNC session still is fine, and I can access everything fine. But to get back to a working X session, I've had to always close everything out and hard power down the computer. I was ruing Ubuntu 14.04 gnome flashback (metacity) before letting the update manager upgrade to 16.04. Ubuntu now only boots to command line. I have a host ruing ubuntu 16.04. and lxc guest (archlinux). Both a ruing nvidia 367.35.When Upgrading to nvidia 370.23 (host and guest) I lost graphics in the container. I did not get any error messages.Was anyone successful using nvidia 370.23 and containers. Do I need to upgrade cuda 7.5 to 8.0. Are there any workarounds. Another forum member posted a thread about TPM passthrough and its been something I've been meaning to do for a while. Qemu 2.5 has a bug that prevents a Windows guest from loading the TPM driver, this is patched from qemu 2.6 onwards so I've got qemu 2.6.1 in my build chain and am ruing the guest on the cmd line.
