Greetings!I managed to install ubuntu (16.04) on my working PC, after couple hours of surfing the web my inteet connection lost. I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. Once at the logon screen I have 2× highres screens running at 2560x1440 without a problem.What works:With a vga cable I see the boot screen and tty's.With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWith HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWhat doesn't work:With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sWith HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sBoth situations display the "input timing" message.Is there a solution for this situation? I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I have already tried reinstalling ubuntu many times but I always get this error when I first boot into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I booted into ubuntu 14.04, which I was happy with, and it prompted me to upgrade to 16.04. It was late and I didn't read everything properly, and in the process it updated some items like phpmyadmin, php, and mysql that I had installed for a local development web server. Unfortunately, that's caused major issues & now nothing works. I don't want to run newer versions as I know the web application I was using locally doesn't work on newer versions. As the title says my etheet keeps disconnecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN connection when I use that I have no connections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The connection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hi,I've got a problem with ftp and I can't guess where it is.I've got Ubuntu 14.04 Server in my server. I have two Ubuntu Servers.I want to connect the two machines via etheet.I want to be able to view and transfer files between them.I would prefer to do this without setting up SSH because these machines will not need to receive remote connections over the inteet.The machines will connect to the inteet for updates... but it is not necessary for what I'm trying to do.I've viewed https://askubuntu.com/questions/2283...thout-a-router and was able to setup the IPv4 setup and have my machines ping each other, but was not able to connect and transfer files.I was able to setup a basic SSH server and use the Nautilus connect to server facility to successfully do what I want to do. I recently purchased an ASUS USB-N13 Wi-fi adapter for my desktop running Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty 64x.
