I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I booted into ubuntu 14.04, which I was happy with, and it prompted me to upgrade to 16.04. It was late and I didn't read everything properly, and in the process it updated some items like phpmyadmin, php, and mysql that I had installed for a local development web server. Unfortunately, that's caused major issues & now nothing works. I don't want to run newer versions as I know the web application I was using locally doesn't work on newer versions. As the title says my etheet keeps discoecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN coection when I use that I have no coections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The coection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? I just discovered that my Virtualbox installation was broken, and tried to fix it. It's taken me several hours to get to where I can try to start virtual box but without the extension pack, it still won't work. To get to this point, I had to disable secure boot. I had a deadline last night that was compromised because virtualbox was broken - and these problems are threatening my education (and any hope I have for a future).I'm using 14.04LTS and WILL NOT UPGRADE.
