Greetings!I managed to install ubuntu (16.04) on my working PC, after couple hours of surfing the web my inteet connection lost. So i decided to do this Code: sudo dhclient -r sudo dhclient After these commands Gods of the inteet blessed me again(Got google working again), and i tried to connect to previous webpages > but failed, tried to open different ubuntu communities > failed,( only main (this one) worked well) almost 80% of the web pages won't open to me from THAT moment, and also can't install ANY program VIA terminal Code: 0% [Connecting to ua.archive.ubuntu.com (82.144.192.7)] after doing Code: dhclient -r i'm getting messages "RTNETLINK FILE EXISTS" (maybe this is the evil roots i looking for? how to fix this ?)Tried to configure INET connection as static > same.Tried to reboot pc networking > same.Tried to deny all IPV6 > same.Tried to use usb-wifi stick > same.PC located at the office, i've a privileged IP (no limits, or social network bloc, ...ادامه مطلب

I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. Once at the logon screen I have 2× highres screens running at 2560x1440 without a problem.What works:With a vga cable I see the boot screen and tty's.With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWith HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWhat doesn't work:With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sWith HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sBoth situations display the "input timing" message.Is there a solution for this situation? I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I have already tried reinstalling ubuntu many times but I always get this error when I first boot into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. In my attempt to make a my Mac Mini 1,1 dual boot OSX 10.5 and Ubuntu 14.04, I have set things up incorrectly pertaining to sharing drive space between these OS's. And I don't know how to fix it.My goal is to have the single hard drive divided into partitions for each OS, and another one for files that can be accessed from either OS.I encountered the user ID mismatch problem and tried to fix it by assigning the Ubuntu user ID to 501, to match that of the OSX 10.5 user ID. I did so by trying to follow the instructions I found on this web page: http://lifehacker.com/5702815/the-co...rating-systemsThat procedure had me create a “tempuser” account in Ubuntu. Then us some chown commands on the home directory of Ubuntu. I guess that worked. But of course, I also wanted to do the chown command on my shared files partition. As the title says my etheet keeps disconnecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN connection when I use that I have no connections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The connection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hi everyone. New guy here on the forum.I just installed Lubuntu (XFCE) on an MacBook Pro 2010 13" laptop, which all went fine and dandy. I now want to try out a different Linux Ubuntu flavor but I can't seem to access choosing disks when holding down option at startup. No disks at all show up. The disks do however show up clearly within the Lubuntu installation itself, including the USB boot drive I have created.I have tried changing the mounting options by to just include the USB drive but to no success.Any ideas what might be the cause of this, and how to solve it?Many thanks in advance. Hi,I've got a problem with ftp and I can't guess where it is.I've got Ubuntu 14.04 Server in my server. So I've been hosting my Plex Media Server and 2 Mumble Servers off my Main Windows 10 Gaming rig for a while now. I just recently built a new machine and threw Ubuntu 14 on it.All was working fine.. I got mumble working great on it..plex was working fine. I ****ed up some settings with Phpmumbleadmin and for some reason DHCP wasn't picking up an IP address from the Router on the ubuntu machine only. Wifi was fine, and Desktop was fine.I decided i probably screwed up apache or myphpadmin or something and decided to just reinstall Ubuntu.Woohoo it was working again. Installed Plex, started copying files over from my NAS for the Plex files/database, walked away and came back to the same issue!!When this happens I cannot access the Routers Configuration page either it just times out. I have two Ubuntu Servers.I want to connect the two machines via etheet.I want to be able to view and transfer files between them.I would prefer to do this without setting up SSH because these machines will not need to receive remote connections over the inteet.The machines will connect to the inteet for updates... but it is not necessary for what I'm trying to do.I've viewed https://askubuntu.com/questions/2283...thout-a-router and was able to setup the IPv4 setup and have my machines ping each other, but was not able to connect and transfer files.I was able to setup a basic SSH server and use the Nautilus connect to server facility to successfully do what I want to do.
