[ubuntu] Ubuntu 16.04 mysql database

A new kick at the cat, the last effort came up short due to crap references

so now that the database is setup properly it seems to be working as desired

with manual command line its not hard to use now, but I was hoping to maybe do more with it over time?

new location and filename for the configuration is inconvenient but I have commented out the local host binding so I can use the database as a cloud appliance

so what the best route for a small number of databases?

any considerations for managing the size of the database?

tools etc?
