Missing cursor

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS on my laptop, but when I boot it, the cursor doesn't work. I was using the default lightdm, so I tried switching to gdm. Neither of them are showing my cursor and it is really aoying.

Edit: I just plugged in a mouse and its the trackpad that is not working. I don't think it's physically broken though.
