Is the forum slow

Yes, almost unusable!

Took me 5 minutes to open this thread.

I have just noticed, however, that on opening another browser and going to ubuntuforums.org, but this time not logged in under my useame, the forum seems to be working at normal speed when opening threads; it's only once logged in that this horrible delay seems to occur with the spiing "Coecting ---" icon continuing for minutes sometimes, not just seconds, and you can not post when not logged in, of course.

Can somebody else try that, ie log out then coect to the forum, and see if your experience is the same as mine. The browser used seems to make no difference to the problem.
