In 2014 I decided to Dual-boot win7-64 and Zorin-64[14.04 at the time] and get off the Windows Wagon after 14yrs.
Since then I have successfully removed win7 from the drive and boot/ and from Virtualbox in mid-2015 and use SynapticsPM to upgrade what looks to be security/system related files manually.
I know how to reach and edit services and start-up through BUM and startup apps.
For going on two years this system runs flawlessly......upgrades sometimes would cause errors but I generally keep backup images.
That being said, every moing I boot to the point of seeing a slight glimpse of the desktop only for the machine to go through a full shutdown.
Then, the second time I boot it goes fully through and alls fine for the rest of 14 hours.....
Cleaning out logfiles, temps, and browser cache[s] seemed to stop it for a week, but now its happening every moing squeaky clean.
I have posted a Boot-Repair bootinfo summary at http://paste.ubuntu.com/19074021/
Thanks Much!
