16.04, no sound from speakers, ASUS X555L

As in the title - I have a problem with sound on my Ubuntu. On Windows sound works fine, but on Linux speakers and headphones are soundless. I went through official troubleshooting guide, with no effects. Funny thing, sound used to work couple weeks ago. My sound works sometimes, like yesterday in the moing. It suddenly stopped when my son touched random key on the keyboard (no idea why). Earlier, with 16.04 that problem occurred but from time to time I could solve it by following official sound troubleshooting guide. Now it fails to work no matter what I do. I tried googling anything in gentoo and arch community, with no effects, nothing works.

My sound driver is snd-hda-intel, for me it seems it can't find proper codec for my sound card. But I don't know what can I do with this.

As a last resort, I might try downgrading my keel or compiling it by hand.

I don't know if that matters, but I use unsigned MT76x0 wireless keel driver.
