Help regarding Network Sharing

Hello,

First of all I apologize if I'm posting at the wrong sub forum

I'm currently ruing the "trial from CD" version of Ubuntu, as I'm trying to recover data from my unbootable Windows partition, and I don't really understand how to use Ubuntu since its my first time using this.

I have another Windows computer ruing alongside with me, and I'm trying to send files from Ubuntu to Windows, however no luck despite googling for hours

I've tried using the Personal File Sharing App aswell as Samba but I'm still confused

Can someone suggest me what method I should use to send my data over to my other computer?
