[xubuntu] Set device alias in pavucontrol?

I'm still working with the 14.04 release.
I plan to move to 16.04 sometime this month or so.

I've taken to using some USB audio devices for recording.
I've also derped a time or two and selected the wrong hardware because of similar naming in pavucontrol.

"PCM9000 Audio Codec Digital Stereo (IEC958)"
"PCM2902 Audio Codec Digital Stereo (IEC958)"

Is there a way I can set an alias for a device like "Sound Board" or "Aux Device" or "Cassette Deck"?
