[ubuntu] Krusader File Mgr Tweak Needed

I've been using Krusader file manager (with Ubuntu 12.04) for a few weeks because Nautilus has a quirk (at least on my computer) that is unacceptable. But Krusader also has a quirk that I can't seem to override. Unlike Nautilus, it refuses to allow me to copy files with special characters in them. I have a number of Thunderbird emails saved as .eml files. Many of them have been saved with their original subject name such as [Fwd: Invoice for 3/4” tape] or [When can we meet?]. Krusader stops the whole process of copying a folder from my HD to a thumb drive with 45 files in it because 4 or 5 of them might be like the examples above with quotation marks or an exclamation point etc. I've been working around that by re-naming offending files, but it's an endless time-consuming process. I have thousands of files and finding every one with a stray semi-colon or quotation mark is out of the question.

I've tried to figure out if Krusader offers one a tweak to override that and allow files of any name to be manipulated. Unfortunately there is no web site for Krusader and no manual that one can access, so I am in the dark. (Oh yeah, Krusader.org pops up on Google, but the link is dead as is the manual link. I think the developers have gone belly-up).

Other than that, I like Krusader and was hoping someone with experience might know how I could overcome the file manager's reluctance to manipulate non-standard files. Thank you.
