[lubuntu] Skype screen-sharing with low resolution

Hallo Everyone,

I occasionally use Skype and sometimes need to share screens. But the resolution is very low. I don't need high resolution but do need to be able to read details (e.g. file names).

I googled around and it looks like Microsoft has "knobbelled" ("adjusted") Skype so that it has less attractive features for those not ruing Windows. Which really sucks because a lot of my clients/contacts rely on Skype.

Does anyone out there have any tips for alteatives* and/or work-rounds.

I might try ruing Skype from within a Windows virtual machine (VirtualBox).

*: Although this will be embarrassing for me because I will have to ask my clients to switch because my OS doesn't fully support Skype. What a dirty trick for Microsoft to pull!
