If one looks under the thread "Networking", you will see abundant subject titles regarding their inability to coect via wired, wireless, and not able to coect at all since a recent update and backporting of Network Manager software.
So my question is in regards to an update received today!

makes me nervous! Does anyone else concur? And what does "add a versioned Break" mean???
If my machine's hardware/software does not seem to be affected, should I allow these "fixes"?
If my machine is not broken - why fix it?
Should we just assume and blindly trust every "fix" that comes along?
After all, thats how we got into this mess! I've spent hours and days trying to fix my wife's laptop, after she allowed the "fix/update", along with 1000's of other people.
Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Ubuntu and specifically Xubuntu and UbuntuStudio.
But I guess my question to everyone is, perhaps it is time to vigilantly scour every update to see if it is really needed.
If so, then we better all start leaing to "code", in order to trust and use "open sourced" OS & software.
What say You?
