No audio.

Hello. I recently started dualbooting ubuntu with windows 10. There has been no audio, and I followed the ubuntu guide, no luck. I also looked up the problem with my Audio chipset, found a guide and that didn't work either. About 3 weeks ago I booted a live version of Kali Linux on a usb and the audio worked them, but I tried now and it doesn't work. Neither does all the other distros I tried. I don't see why this would suddenly appear, and is a bit confused. Linux mint used to be my main OS, but I switched to Windows. Any help or suggestions? I lost faith in Linux for now, and hope I could gain that faith back.
