[ubuntu] Keyboard flakey when in the dash.

I have an interesting issue that doesn't make any sense to me. If I hit the super key (windows key on my keyboard) to enter the dash then start typing to search for an application, the keyboard input actually jumbels the letters I type.

For instance, term = tmre, chrome = hrcome, and so on.

However, typing slowly in the dash is OK, and typing outside of the dash is fine even at normal speed.

What the heak is going on?
