[lubuntu] Network Printer

Hallo Everyone,

I have a standalone (usb) printer that I am trying to coect to through a network printing adaptor and am half-way there but can't get it to print ...

In my router-admin I can see that the print-adaptor has registered correctly and in ubuntu printer-manager I have set up the printer which seems to be available (although it wasn't auto-detected probably because the adaptor is not really a printer).

I have set up the printer with the following settings: ipp://192.168.111.111 (with that being the address give to the adaptor and recognised by the router).

However, when I try to print a test-page the status registers as "Preparing to print" but nothing happens. It does not even say "unable to print" or "printer not available".

Can anyone help me here? Is the ipp://192.168.111.111 the correct syntax here? It is, isn't it?

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas for things that I could try out to get it working then I would be really happy.
