I am quite old. My daughter sent me an iPhone so that I would be safer. I love her intent, and I like my phone. But I don't care much for Label consciousness. And, I hate Microsoft, so Apple is the lesser evil.

I am a Kubuntu user for many years and would love to remove the OS from my iPhone and install any Linux version Operating System, but especially one related to Ubuntu. I hate signing contracts with companies who will not agree bilaterally. I hate purchasing applications that I don't get to at least try first to see if I like them.

Neither will I offend my daughter by not using and appreciating her fine gift to me. But given the opportunity to change OSs in my phone is a no brainer. In a New York City Second. Shab
