Hi all, long time retuing user here.

I have a really weird issue with downgrading libnss3 in ubuntu. The reason I need to downgrade is because I use a time logging application (Upwork) for working online that works fine with version 3.15 but not with 3.21

Not long ago I purchased a laptop for working on Upwork and having my time tracked through it for when I was away from home and Ubuntu seemed like my best option for simplicity's sake in hardware detection and having all ruing almost 100% out of the box, I am more a pure Debian user.

In my laptop I made two separate installations, one for primary use in 64 bit with xfce (Xubuntu 14.04) and I was able to downgrade libnss3 with its dependencies ( libnss3-1d and libnss3-nssdb) and Upwork works well. In my other installation I am using Ubuntustudio for pro-audio and that is a 32 bit version but also 14.04. For as much as I have been trying to downgrade libnss3 on that installation I keep getting error messages about packages getting broken if I do this. I also installed Ubuntustudio 32 on my Desktop PC and I get exactly the same errors, so what can I do? How can I get around this issue? I need to also be able to track working time in my pro-audio OS's. I don't know if I just did something different in the 64 bit that did the downgrade or simply the 32 bit ubuntu's just won't let me downgrade, even if in synaptic the downgradable versions are listed.

Thanks
