[ubuntu] Cant coect to Hotspot on desktop with USB coection and no wireless radio

Hello everyone

Let me begin by saying I am a complete begier with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Linux).

I have a hotspot coected to a desktop by a USB cable, but without a wireless radio in the desktop. I am on a fixed income so money is very tight. I am having difficulty creating a coection to the hotspot and the inteet. I have previously had a coection but about 2 months ago my PC crashed hard and I had to do a complete wipe and re-install of windows 7 Home Premium and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The Hotspot works fine in Windows 7. I was wondering if someone could help me get a coection setup so I can create a system image of the drive so I don't have to go through this again.

I know I have given limited information in this post, so if someone can guide me to a webpage or some other posts that will solve this problem, I would be extremely grateful. I have tried some of the posts here but they all assume that I have programs I don't have. Also, when I installed the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS I tried to check the box that says download/install 3rd party stuff but it was not available because there is no coection. The hotspot is a T-Mobile 4G LTE (Model MF61).
