[server] Software RAID 10 power failure - 12.04

Hi all.

I had a power failure on a server (Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS ) with a raid 10 array.

When I restored the power, in dmesg there was the message:

md/raid1:md1: not clean -- starting background reconstruction

I think the resync started because of the power failure, isn't it?

My question is: when the resync process will be complete, can I exclude that there are bad sectors on the disks due to the power failure?

Or have I to run badblocks or a similar tool from the Ubuntu Rescue Remix live CD?

In this case, which tool is much suitable for checking hard disks?
