Improvements?

I guess it must just be me, but I fail to see how the new gnome gedit is an improvement. I think they made it less easy to use. No toolbar where you can edit/undo? How is that helpful?

Same thing with calculators, they are not as good as the previous model either. But it must just be me because I see no questions in the forums. Doesn't matter whether you are

using Ubuntu gnome, Unity, or mate same problems.
