Welcome. So you're saying you have 15.10 installed and you can't get coected to the inteet or you are yet to install and just curious?

If the latter, you want to be looking at 16.04 LTS and forget about 15.10. That has about a month and a half of support left at which time you'll need to upgrade to 16.04 LTS anyway. LTS is a long-term support and 16.04 LTS is supported for five years until 2021.

16.04 also has drivers for newer hardware and is the way to go if you are ruing newer hardware. Does this apply to you? Either way, many Broadcom devices work out of the box or with little effort now in Ubuntu. A few, on the other hand, don't. Have you done any research about this apart from asking here? Always a good idea. For instance, you might have found this in a minute or less.

Second link here.
