[ubuntu] Make Firefox / Chromium identify as Windows?

All good. Curious to know if this is ahcievable. Never seen anyone after this outcome before.

It might pay to keep in mind that attempting to masquerade a Linux box as a Windows one may go some way to supporting the views of Linux detractors, and it might also pay to keep in mind that pretending to be something you're not may break the ToS (terms of service), or other legal stipulations, of some websites.

That would help to confirm the fact "that all Linux users are criminal hackers ..." and may involve legal consequences. You'd need to do some further research on that.

Not sure what you're bothered about unless you are under threat from the authorities for using a Linux box, but your call. Here, we tend to want to spread the fact that Linux is a viable alteative and peoples' misconceptions about it are generally baseless, rather than hide the fact we are happy Linux users.
