Hi all,

I'm trying to resolve a problem we are having with one of our Ubuntu Linux servers here at Warwick.

The problem is that we have samba installed, however no user is able to change their samba password.

Trying to resolve this I have installed 12.04 on a virtual machine to see if I could fix this in a minimum configuration but I still get the same problem.

I am ruing the latest versions of the samba suite, I have done apt-get update / apt-get upgrade (as root of course).

I tried adding :

client use spnego = no
client ntlmv2 auth = no
client signing = off

to the global section as a web search seemed to indicate that these may help.
