CurlFTPfs On Ubuntu Server Is Very Slow

Hi everyone!

I have a question, it is normal CurlFTPfs installed on Ubuntu Server is taking lot of time to retu the directory listing? My setup is the following: I have a VPS in a datacenter with a 100 Mbps bandwidth and I have installed Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS on it, I have mounted an account from my FTP server who is located at my house with a 100 Mbps bandwidth also. I have also installed Apache 2 on the VPS and set the mount point of CurlFTPfs at /var/www/html on the VPS so I can share files by giving HTTP links instead having an active anonymous account on my local FTP server who is a huge security hole. So like I saids above, listing directory is very slow. It can take about up to 30 seconds to list a directory containing 8 items.

Is others have this issues with their Ubuntu Server and CurlFTPfs or its just me?
