No sound with HDA Intel PCH in Lubuntu 15.04

Hello everyone,

After installing Lubuntu I realized that I had no audio. In response, I took the following approaches to fix the problem:

1) Followed the instructions in the first response of this resource: http://askubuntu.com/questions/27850...-hda-intel-pch

2) Went into alsamixer and ensured that my audio was not muted and that the volume was up.

3) Installed the latest version of ALSA by following this installation guide: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/UpgradingAlsa/DKMS

Even with these steps I still have no audio :/ Does anyone else know how to solve the problem?
