[ubuntu] Unable to boot after 16.04, boot-repair made it worse

I recently upgraded from 14.04 to 16.04, and after doing so, I would reboot into GRUB, select Ubuntu, then get a fdisk error

Using a live USB for 16.04, I used boot-repair. After ruing that, I now reboot into Ubuntu and get just a black screen, with no further information

Machine has Windows 10 dual boot, which loads correctly.

Any commands I should run from the live USB to help debug this?
