[ubuntu] Ubuntu 16.04 Sound Issues

So yesterday I decided to check out the new 16.04 update and I went ahead and installed it on my iMac (late 2013 21" model.)

Everything worked right out of the box (besides wifi of course, so I used an exteal card to DL necessary drivers), however, I quickly realised the sound was acting up strange, sometimes the speakers would work and then sometimes they would not, also the headphones completely did not work at all...

I tried everything from changing my keel to 4.4, removing all pulseaudio and alsa related stuff and doing a clean reinstall, but to no avail :/

Any ideas?? Is this a common problem?? Will this be fixed??
