[ubuntu] fsck Runs After Suspend

I'm ruing Ubuntu 15.10 on a custom rig with a GTX 750 Ti. I have the 352 drivers installed, and everything works perfectly, except suspending the PC. Every time I try to resume, nothing works. I can attempt to type in my password to log into my system, and I can press Ctrl+Alt+F1 to bring up a terminal, but when I try to log in with either method, it either says that there was an error acessing the partition I have Ubuntu installed on and that it's reading iblock or something, or if I'm using the GUI, that it failed to authenticate the password. I would look in the error logs but I can't find where the actual problem occurs. Either way, I can't log in, and my computer tries to check my drive for errors. I have Ubuntu installed to a 1TB USB 3.0 drive, which works fine for all intents and purposes, but Ubuntu keeps acting like there is an error with it or something. As far as I know, there's nothing corrupted, since the OS works just fine until I suspend. Is it possibly the swap partition? I have a 4 gb swap at the begiing of the drive (8 gb of physical RAM), which never really gets used except maybe during suspend. The reason I included all that info at the begiing was in case the problem had to do with the graphics driver, but I doubt it does, since the GUI works fine. Anyways, should I run a scan to see if there's something corrupted? If so, what's the best way to do that. Is it not good to have the OS on a USB drive? If you have any ideas, please please help, because I really want to use Ubuntu, and this is the only thing holding me back from making it my daily OS instead of Windows. (BTW, I'm typing this from a laptop with the same OS installed, and it has none of these issues. So I do know how to install Ubuntu properly.)
