I run 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 and Linux WebEx is a 32-bit only java app, which is not fully functional on a 64-bit system (no audio). So rather than going through gyrations of installing an alteate 32-bit firefox and 32-bit java, I installed virtualbox and 32-bit 14.04 in that. I gave the virtualbox 2.5 GB RAM and 2 CPU threads [I only have 2 core with hyperthreading (4 threads), 8 GB RAM]. WebEx works fine in that, except that whether viewing a WebEx recording or a live WebEx session, the the audio is broken up in bits and pieces for a while until it finally sync's up and works fine after that. I don't have any 32-bit systems at the moment to tell if that is normal or some issue ruing WebEx in the virtualbox. I was just wondering if someone had an idea how to get the audio to sync up quicker in WebEx?
I have Oracle Java 8 installed on both the main 64-bit host and the 32-bit virtualbox system. I don't know if that is required for WebEx, but was required on my main system for thinkorswim stock/option trading platform (which did not work with openjdk).
