This last week, I did some serious searching on how to get the right driver for my video card. I ended up going to:
System Settings > Software and Updates> Additional Drivers
There, I found that Ubuntu "auto-detected" that there was an NVidia card.
I went ahead and let it install whatever driver it suggested.
I selected:352.63 (proprietary, tested)
I noticed that this is not the most current driver for this card.
OR IS IT (for Ubuntu, but not for other systems)?
I noticed lots of screen tearing both before and after I installed this driver.
It does the tearing during non-stressful activities.
Such as browsing this forum.
Any tips on getting rid of said tearing?
