So you have created a bootable Live media by buing the downloaded iso file to USB or DVD media ?

What you want to do then is boot your computer from it, you should get the option to install to your computers hard drive or proceed to the desktop where you can use Ubuntu and test it out, ensure that everything is working before committing to an actual install.

Are you intending to install to your hard drive ?
