Linux noobie no wifi problem

Hi, first im sorry if i post this in the wrong section...

Im new to linux, i recently tried to revive a friends really old laptop by installing linux on it. I was at first ruing lxle and it was working good, then the network didnt work so i tried to figure out what the problem was...

now after several reinstall with different distros, ive tried ubuntu, elementary, puppy, lxle and now im with linux mint. Its ruing pretty smooth and its fast however i really cant get the wifi up ruing... its coecting hard wire but i cant even see wireless options. Ive googled it as much as i can and tried several different commands however no luck. I also tried FN-F2 but it does nothing.

I would REALLY appreciate some help.

The laptop is an old Dell Vostro 1000, with "Broadcom Corporation wireless 1390 wlan mini-card"
