Xubuntu 14.04 Remap Delete key, Create Shift Key

Xubuntu 14.04/Umid Mbook M1

Hello All,

The Umid Mbook M1 has no right shift key. In its place, geographically, is the Delete key. In XP, using KeyTweak, I was able to remap the Delete key to Fn-Backspace (originally "print screen") to act as the Delete key. Then, I remapped the Delete Key to Right Shift.

I have looked at /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/us but don't understand the syntax to pull off the same.

My googling has brought mixed messages whether xbindkeys still plays a role post 13.04. If xbindkeys does work in 14.04, I'd be much obliged if a veteran user could show how to remap the keys I need. Or if xkb can do the same, I would appreciate the advice.
