Hello all,

This would also make for my first post in the Ubuntu Community. However, I have been using Ubuntu 15.10 on my old Toshiba Satellite for about 6 months, so I am familiar with it. The Satellite recently stopped working for me, so I was forced to purchase a new laptop. I purchased the Lenovo Ideapad 15IBD-80qq, and naturally, within a day I had an Ubuntu 15.10 partition on it.
Curiously, I have been having wireless inteet issues I never had with the Toshiba. I will be using the inteet in my home (wireless, the only place I have tested this so far), and all of a sudden Firefox will give me a "Server Not Found" message for every website I try to access. No Youtube, nothing! I ping Google, and a couple other websites and I get this message: "Ping: unknown host www.google.com". I try to ping my own IP address and I get the following: From ***.****.* icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable (I actually send 4 packets, but I get this message for all of them, 100% packet loss). When this occurs, I am still able to use my wireless inteet with my iPhone 6 Plus as well as my girlfriend's laptop that runs Windows 10. Discoecting and recoecting to the inteet does not work, nor does resetting my router. The only fix is to restart my laptop. Then the inteet will work for some time before the same thing happens all over again.
I have never experienced this problem before with Ubuntu 15.10, which is what I had on my old Toshiba. Does anyone have any advice as to what is causing this problem to occur and how I can fix it? Thanks!
