[ubuntu] Samba configuration with Gadmin-samba

Hi,
My Samba seems to start at boot but only for the localhost, not for other network machines.

Code:

telnet locahost 445

opens

Code:

telnet my.machine.ip 445

coection failed.

If I open up Gadmin-samba and do Deactivate-Activate, then it opens up ports 445 and 139 for other machines.

I did

Code:

ln /etc/samba/smb.conf /usr/share/samba/smb.conf

for linking the config file of Gadmin-samba to the smb daemon starting at boot.

How to have autoboot?
What does Deactivate-Activate does in Gadmin-samba?
