Greetings!I managed to install ubuntu (16.04) on my working PC, after couple hours of surfing the web my inteet connection lost. So i decided to do this Code: sudo dhclient -r sudo dhclient After these commands Gods of the inteet blessed me again(Got google working again), and i tried to connect to previous webpages > but failed, tried to open different ubuntu communities > failed,( only main (this one) worked well) almost 80% of the web pages won't open to me from THAT moment, and also can't install ANY program VIA terminal Code: 0% [Connecting to ua.archive.ubuntu.com (82.144.192.7)] after doing Code: dhclient -r i'm getting messages "RTNETLINK FILE EXISTS" (maybe this is the evil roots i looking for? how to fix this ?)Tried to configure INET connection as static > same.Tried to reboot pc networking > same.Tried to deny all IPV6 > same.Tried to use usb-wifi stick > same.PC located at the office, i've a privileged IP (no limits, or social network bloc, ...ادامه مطلب

I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. Once at the logon screen I have 2× highres screens running at 2560x1440 without a problem.What works:With a vga cable I see the boot screen and tty's.With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWith HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWhat doesn't work:With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sWith HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sBoth situations display the "input timing" message.Is there a solution for this situation? I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I have already tried reinstalling ubuntu many times but I always get this error when I first boot into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. As the title says my etheet keeps disconnecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN connection when I use that I have no connections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The connection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hi,I've got a problem with ftp and I can't guess where it is.I've got Ubuntu 14.04 Server in my server. I have two Ubuntu Servers.I want to connect the two machines via etheet.I want to be able to view and transfer files between them.I would prefer to do this without setting up SSH because these machines will not need to receive remote connections over the inteet.The machines will connect to the inteet for updates... but it is not necessary for what I'm trying to do.I've viewed https://askubuntu.com/questions/2283...thout-a-router and was able to setup the IPv4 setup and have my machines ping each other, but was not able to connect and transfer files.I was able to setup a basic SSH server and use the Nautilus connect to server facility to successfully do what I want to do. I recently purchased an ASUS USB-N13 Wi-fi adapter for my desktop running Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty 64x. I installed the driver using the instructions given in this post http://askubuntu.com/questions/16862...reless-adapter downloading the correct Linux driver from Realtek and also installed the fixes suggested in this post http://askubuntu.com/questions/45675...h-ubuntu-14-04.When plugged in, my network is recognised,http://www.nodular-prurigo.org.uk/images/network1.jpegbut I cannot connect any program (Firefox, Chrome, Filezilla etc.) to the inteet. I just discovered that my Virtualbox installation was broken, and tried to fix it. It's taken me several hours to get to where I can try to start virtual box but without the extension pack, it still won't work. To get to this point, I had to disable secure boot. I had a deadline last night that was compromised because virtualbox was broken - and these problems are threatening my education (and any hope I have for a future).I'm using 14.04LTS and WILL NOT UPGRADE. The change from 12.04 to 14.04 took me weeks to figure out and get back to the way I wanted things (as well as getting all of the software I use to work) - admittedly that was on an old system and this one is new - a Dell preloaded with 8 which took me hours to kill (trashed 8 to where it wouldn't even start - and then I could boot from a Ubuntu CD). In 16.04LTS in VMWARE if I run X -configure to generate an xorg.conf file it fails to execute, yet X works. If I copy one from X 14.04 that works, it is ignored. I need to set the screen size to 3320x1050 yet there is no way to do this in 16.04 that I can discover except via xrandr/usr/bin/xrandr --newmode "3320x1050_60.00" 290.00 3320 3528 3880 4440 1050 1053 1063 1089 -hsync +vsync/usr/bin/xrandr --addmode Virtual1 3320x1050_60.00/usr/bin/xrandr --output Virtual1 --mode 3320x1050_60.00However while its can be added to the .xprofile and should be located there it does not work as the first statement if in .xprofile is ignored, so it fails. As such as of now I have no way to ensure that when I login the screen goes to the required resolution of 3320x1050.
