Greetings!I managed to install ubuntu (16.04) on my working PC, after couple hours of surfing the web my inteet connection lost. So i decided to do this Code: sudo dhclient -r sudo dhclient After these commands Gods of the inteet blessed me again(Got google working again), and i tried to connect to previous webpages > but failed, tried to open different ubuntu communities > failed,( only main (this one) worked well) almost 80% of the web pages won't open to me from THAT moment, and also can't install ANY program VIA terminal Code: 0% [Connecting to ua.archive.ubuntu.com (82.144.192.7)] after doing Code: dhclient -r i'm getting messages "RTNETLINK FILE EXISTS" (maybe this is the evil roots i looking for? how to fix this ?)Tried to configure INET connection as static > same.Tried to reboot pc networking > same.Tried to deny all IPV6 > same.Tried to use usb-wifi stick > same.PC located at the office, i've a privileged IP (no limits, or social network bloc, ...ادامه مطلب

I just switched from IPS237L-BN (1920×1080) to new Dell P2416D (2560x1440) monitors in a dual setup. And I have the following problem. I get a a message on my monitors stating:"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor. Please change your input timing to 2560×1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications." Effectively I don't see my boot/bios screen or any tty's. Once at the logon screen I have 2× highres screens running at 2560x1440 without a problem.What works:With a vga cable I see the boot screen and tty's.With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWith HDMI cable connected I see GUI onlyWhat doesn't work:With DVI-D > HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sWith HDMI cable connected I don't see the boot screen and tty'sBoth situations display the "input timing" message.Is there a solution for this situation? I am trying to dual boot ubuntu 14 and windows 10 on my dell xps 9350. They have both been installed and the windows side boots fine. However when I attempt to boot into ubuntu I get the following errorError parsing pcc from pcct subspacesata3.0: exception Emask 0.0I made sure fast boot is off on the windows side and secure boot is off. I have already tried reinstalling ubuntu many times but I always get this error when I first boot into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. HiSorry if this is the incorrect section to post this.Just started using Mint 18 Cinnamon 64bit and love it so far not touched windows for a while now.I've managed to move over all i do on my win10 install to mint and haven't looked back.There is an issue though, when i play my media from my unbuntu server in kodi on my second monitor (Samsung 40" TV") in full-screen mode the bottom task bar vanishes from the primary monitor.The TV is connected via HDMI on then second DVI socket using a DVI to HDMI converter from my GeForce GTX 460 and the audio comes from the toslink socket on ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard, both audio and video are perfect.If i put kodi into windowed mode and fullscreen it on the TV it plays fine but you have a kodi title bar at the top of the screen, this is less then ideal, you do have the task bar back on the primary monitor though.Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that will allow me to put kodi into fullscreen mode on the TV and retain the task bar on the pri,kodi full screen,kodi full screen windows,kodi full screen mac,kodi full screen mode,kodi full screen key,kodi full screen too big,kodi full screen windows 10,kodi full screen not working,kodi full screen ubuntu,kodi full screen zoomed in ...ادامه مطلب

I had Mythbuntu 14.04 running on this machine, but it was getting flaky: some recordings OK, some zero-length, some excessively large and presumably corrupt that would crash the frontend when I tried to play them. I'd applied the various updates that were offered, but they did not cure the problem. Then a day or two ago I was offered the update to 16.04, but that was a disaster, so I saved my recordings to an exteal drive and ran mythconverg_backup.pl and copied the resulting files to the exteal drive as well. Then I tried installing 14.04.5 from scratch but the installation failed -- something involving xfsettingsd -- so I installed 14.04.2. I can watch live TV, but there is no longer a Program Guide (or whatever it was called) on the menu, and when I press "I" while viewing I get "Unknown." BTW, when 14.04 *was* working -- although flakily -- I often found that the program title displayed in the recording list was correct but the description belonged to another program -- not one, ...ادامه مطلب

I've been using 14.04, and just used the upgrade command.Things happened, it asked me if I wanted to keep my grub config file or use the new one.I chose to use the new one. It sat for a while, then rebooted.On reboot, it brings up a GNU GRUB version 2.02 beta2-9ubuntu1.12 label at the top, with a grub prompt.Nothing works now.Does anybody know how to get past this??? As the title says my etheet keeps disconnecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN connection when I use that I have no connections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The connection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hi everyone. New guy here on the forum.I just installed Lubuntu (XFCE) on an MacBook Pro 2010 13" laptop, which all went fine and dandy. I now want to try out a different Linux Ubuntu flavor but I can't seem to access choosing disks when holding down option at startup. No disks at all show up. The disks do however show up clearly within the Lubuntu installation itself, including the USB boot drive I have created.I have tried changing the mounting options by to just include the USB drive but to no success.Any ideas what might be the cause of this, and how to solve it?Many thanks in advance. Hi,I've got a problem with ftp and I can't guess where it is.I've got Ubuntu 14.04 Server in my server. I'm having trouble installing updates on my Ubuntu 16.04 Every time there is a software update and I try to do the install. It worked for a while then it says "operation failed" etc... I don't know what is the cause, I would like some help troubleshooting the issue.
