Hello everyone!I'm pretty new to Linux, and need help with installing a driver. Currently, my computer has an inteal WiFi adapter that can only coect to 2.4 GHz, so I bought one of those small WiFi adapters that you plug into your USB (here's the link to it: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Netw.../dp/B00W5UHQ8M). As the title says my etheet keeps discoecting roughly 5 mins after plugging in the etheet cable. If I plug it out and back in again it works perfectly for another 5 mins. I have a USB to LAN coection when I use that I have no coections whatsoever, it only happens when I plug the etheet cable into the on board etheet port on my laptop. The coection isn't loose and the wire isn't damaged in any way. Any ideas what's causing this? Hello allI have just started work in an organisation which uses an intranet accessed by wifi. Staff provide their own laptops and mine uses lubuntu.I can access most things within the system but there is an smb:// shared network which I caot coect to. I have tried various things (ie, posting the smb address in file manager and in nautilus, using the Coect to Server option within file manager) and have had no luck. Most of these options say that the coection has been rejected, sometimes that the address was not found.The IT dept have had a look but aren't familiar with lubuntu. Hello Everyone,I had just installed edubuntu 14.04 on my lappy(hp pavilion g6 2226 tu). The matter is that whenever i coect to my wifi router, it works for 4-5 seconds and then it stops working. I mean to say Ubuntu is showing coected with wifi but when i checked on router, it was not showing there , also,obviously, i caot access the inteet. .afThere is one more issue. Whenever i start lappy after shutting down, it start blinking rapidly. So I've been hosting my Plex Media Server and 2 Mumble Servers off my Main Windows 10 Gaming rig for a while now. I just recently built a new machine and threw Ubuntu 14 on it.All was working fine.. I got mumble working great on it..plex was working fine. I ****ed up some settings with Phpmumbleadmin and for some reason DHCP wasn't picking up an IP address from the Router on the ubuntu machine only. Wifi was fine, and Desktop was fine.I decided i probably screwed up apache or myphpadmin or something and decided to just reinstall Ubuntu.Woohoo it was working again. Installed Plex, started copying files over from my NAS for the Plex files/database, walked away and came back to the same issue!!...

I was just given an iPod Classic, 60GB. In looking at posts on these forums, there does not seem to be any posts since 2014 on using an iPod classic. All I want to do is transfer MP3 and WAV files from my PC to the iPod and listen to them. The File Manager in Lubuntu senses (sees) the iPod, but that appears to be the extent of it.
